Chuka drummers

This photo was taken one chilly November night in the gardens of the Mount Kenya Safari Club, near Nanyuki, as the club's resident Chuka dance ensemble performed their 'after dinner' routine for the club's well-heeled guests. As the air was cold and damp, the residents stayed in the lounge, whilst the group played outside - beyond the plate glass windows - dancing barefoot on the carefully manicured lawn.
