Advice for printing

There is no browser that does not make a mess when trying to print pages in frames (the various elements that make up the visual aspect of this website). To avoid problems, use the "print this page" button, usually at the top of every page, which automatically sends the correct instructions to your browser or printer. Users of browsers with JavaScript disabled or absent will see a "advice for printing" button instead, which - as you probably know - loads this very same page!

The following advice will help you print pages from this website correctly. But before following the instructions below (you'll also need to go back to the page to be printed!), you must click once with the left mouse button on the part of the page you want to print, so the browser knows what you want...

Incidentally, there is no easy way to prevent some printers from cutting images in half if they happen to straddle a page break. If your printer software is clever enough to detect this, there should be an option for enabling it hidden somewhere in the "File" dialog (possibly under Page Setup, Printer Setup, Print settings, Printer Properties etc.)
